History.

Emmanuelle Klossou and LaToya Wesley met in 2014 while both were working on sentencing research. After several conversations over the limitations of existing research in representing individuals, groups, and communities of color, the two were eager to establish their own research firm that would effectively intersect their expertise and respective interests. Colm Research Group is a firm rooted in social justice, and serves as a conduit for change in a field that often showcases a homogenous view of the world, politics, and social issues.

Mission

Colm Research Group is committed to a research agenda that prioritizes representation, inclusivity, and intersectionality. Our mission is to capture the voices and experiences of marginalized, disenfranchised, and silenced groups to identify practical strategies designed to help communities flourish.

Vision

We envision a world where research objectively influences decision-making and governance; and is informed by the individuals, groups, and communities most affected by policy and legislation.
